Helen and the other ghosts went to strike as already they were tired of giving stories to writers and people also started calling them for the Ouija board, where they asked them nonsense questions which made them angry, and exhausted.

Question:- Why had Helen, the ghost, been helping the narrator write ghost stories? Why was she going on strike? What condition did she plays for providing continued help?

Answer:- Helen, the ghost, had been helping the narrator write ghost stories as she herself was a writer when she was a leave in her previous life. She and her co-ghosts where going to strike because they were fed up with many calls from people for assistance, particularly from the uses of Ouija board. She said the narrator would have to persuade people not to use Ouija board if he needed your help anymore.
