This question is in reference to the poem A Slumber Did My Spirit Seal written by William Wordsworth.

The poem is based on the death of a young woman.

The poet states that he was in a deep slumber that withheld him from life's realities like bad things can happen in this beautiful world and also made him devoid of common human fears like the fear of death.

There is a contrasting argument that this poem can very well be about the poet's high regard of the young woman, treating her like a goddess unaffected by aging or death rather than about the poet's innocence itself.
