The research work has been on for a decade. Neem leaf extract was tested in cancer cells drawn from animals as well as humans.Subsequently, scientists isolated the glycoprotein and tested its toxicity. The glycoproteins does not kill cancer directly but promotes, immune cells which in turn, prevent tumors from growing. That is the reason why neem has been described as panacea of ailments.
