Why heart is placed left side

No, the human heart is not exactly on the left side. The actual fact is the human heart is located in the thoracic cavity, just above the diaphragm. The base of the heart is along the body's mid-line. But 2/3rd of the heart's mass is found on the left side of the body and 1/3rd is found on the right side.
