why heat is evolved during exothermic reaction ​

The term exothermic reaction indicates the liberation or evolution of heat.

But heat is not evolved during exothermic reaction .

So much heat is released that the solution may boil very violently, splashing concentrated acid out of the container and all this because the reaction is exothermic.
