why helium atomic size is greater than hydrogen?

Hi friend,

As the element move across the periodic table from left to right, the size of elements decrease because , the proton contained the nucleus of each element increases. Thus the force of attraction between the proton and the orbiting electrons are increased causing the electrons shells to move closer to the nucleus....i hope it helps you
