why hemoglobin has a colour pigment

When hemoglobin combines with oxygen, it becomes oxyhaemoglobin which is red in colour, thus haemoglobin has a colour

Haemoglobin is itself a red coloured pigment present in RBC..IF AM RIGHT!!!
