Why herbivores are directly dependent on plants and carnivores or indirectly dependent on plants?

animals which ate plants only are called herbivores. animals which ate the animals and plants are called carnivores . carnivores mostly liked the flesh. so they are indirectly dependent on carnivores

The herbivores animals directly depends on plants for their survival while the carnivorous depends indirectly on plants because if the plants are not available then the herbivores animals cannot survive and the carnivorous cannot get their food so they are indirectly dependent on plants.
