The intestines of herbivores are far longer inproportion to their body length than those of carnivores. Carnivores have small intestinesequal to 3 to 6 times their body length. Herbivores have small intestines equal to 10to 12 times their body length, in some cases even longer. The plants which the herbivoreseat contain more amount of fibers, cellulose which need a longer time to digest whereas the meat which the carnivores eat doesn't contain those complicated cellulose which doesn't require a long small intestine like herbivores

* Herbivores have large intestines ,may be there are many points on it. One is that herbivores always eat plants such as grasses, leaves which is mainly reach in cellulose. The caecum is help in digestion of cellulose into soluble compounds, but that compound cannot easily soluble, so herbivores ' intestines evolve into large for better absorption of cellulose.
* Carnivores have small intestine because the flesh they eat was mainly rich in fats and bile juice mainly help in digestion of it, so carnivore need to be small intestines
