coke contains carbon which is not very reactive metal so highly reacyive metals cant be obtained from their oxides.

Explanation:

Highly reactive metals such as aluminium or magnesium are found in nature as metal oxides. On the other hand, coke contains carbon and reactivity of highly reactive metals is higher than carbon. Also, highly reactive metals have more attraction towards oxygen as compared to carbon.

As a result, carbon is unable to remove oxygen from these metal oxides and they did not convert into free metals when reduced with carbon.
