Why Himalayas are called the young fold mountains ?

➡️It is to be noted that the Himalayas are not very old mountains they are of recent but so they are called young mountains the place where the Himalayas stand today once stood the deep sea known as ,'Tethys' , slowly slowly it got filled by the Silt route by different rivers as well as by the denudation.

Of the adjoining landmark over millions of years does one fold Over .The Other went on increasing when due to some integral changes the Himalayas were formed the different layers of old maintain their identity does the Himalayas assumed the shape of the young fold mountains and began to be called by the name that is the young fold mountains.

Why eastern coastal plains are more fertile?

➡️Eastern coastal plains are more fertile because -

(i) These plains have thick alluvial deposits in the deltaic tracks of the rivers.

(ii) These plains get rain both in summer and winter.

(iii) These plains are wider then the western coastal plains. They are sometimes as wider as 120 km as compared to the western coastal plains which are hardly 60 km wide and that too at certain places only.
