- Himalyas help in the formation of Alluvial soil which is agriculturally highly productive and it is also suitable for the growth of various crops
- Various rivers emerge from the Himadris from different glaciers which helps to irrigate farms in the northern plains
- Himalayas act as a barrier and prevent central asian winds from entering India. If himalayas were not present these asian winds enterd the country and changed the Indian climate.
- Himalayas also act as a border between china makes difficult to our neighbouring countries for various Naval practices.
