why historian think that revolt if 1857 was a pure sepoy mutinity??.

The soldiers were discriminated on the basis of racism and were paid low salary. But this kind of outbreak happened only when the soldiers were given cartridges which had a coating of grease that was made up of Cow and Pig fat. It was against the religious views of both Hindu and Muslim community.

It was a pure sepoy mutiny as they revolted against the Britishers and choose bahadur shah Zadar as the king of revolt they also revolted and many died like mangal Pandey
Many thousands rebellions rose from the area of up like bariely the soldiers fought the day night battles and reach to Delhi destroying the security forces of British truly it was a sepoy mutiny
