Homo sapiens ie, humans had turned to fishing in mesolithic age because they started to living near rivers for the purpose of agriculture and also in this age they started using tools which helps them in hunting. So when they start living near rivers they started fishing too. From the evidences of different civilisations it is remarkable that every civilisations had took place near rivers.
