why hot water is denser than cold water?

hot water is less dense and float on room temperature but the cold water is much denser to be sink in room temperature..

cooling a substance causes molecules to slow causes molecules to slow down and get slighty closer together occupying a smaller volume that result in an increase density . Hot water is less dense and will float on room temperature water . cold water is more dense and will sink in room temperature water
