Why human beings should be sensible and tolerant towards other creatures?

during this new era humans have developed a lot and this developed the feeling of snatching , stealing and bad attitude. Sometimes you would have seen in cartoon movies based on animals that humans are bad and less caring and nowadays animals are getting very scared from us due to our bad behaviour with them and we are told in schools to behave good with others also.....
