fishes also need oxygen to live
instead of inhaling oxygen from air they have gills for inhaling oxygen
also they have a two chambered heart
as compared to human beings
we do not have any such gills
so w cannot extract oxygen from water
i hope it helps :)

Humans cannot live under water because there the oxygen is dissolved in water. Human's lungs didn't have mechanism of getting oxygen which is dissolved.so we cannot live under water.
