Why hydrogen attached to carbon does not form hydrogen bond with oxygen?

Answer:

Carbon needs 4 electrons to be stable

Hydrogen can give or take 1 electron to be stable

Oxygen takes 2 electrons to be stable

Since carbon has bonded with hydrogen to become stable, it cannot give away electrons to oxygen otherwise it will lose its stability. Thus it does not form bond with oxygen
