HNO3 is a very stong oxidising agent. The hydrogen evolved during Metal-HNO3 rxn is reacted with oxygen to form H2O ( Water). Thus no hydrogen is evolved during metal-HNO3 rxn ( except magnesium and manganese)

Answer:
Explanation:
Nitric acid ( HNO3 ) is a strong oxidising agent so, the hydrogen formed in the reaction between a metal and nitric acid is oxidised to water and hence there is no evolution of hydrogen gas
