why hydrogen molecule has mass of only two units​

Answer:

As , hydrogen has no neutron....... thus, it's Atomic mass =no. of protons+no. of neutrons........... becomes......,1+0 = 1

So, hydrogen atom have Atomic Mass as 1 unit......

But if we talk about molecules then,

H (atom) + H (atom) = H2 (hydrogen molecule)

( when one or more than one atom combined with other same type of atom then, it forms a molecule....)

Thus, if H has atomic mass as 1 unit ........So, H+H will have 2 units as the atomic mass.....

H2 = atomic mass = 2 units....
