why hydrogen not form compound with metal???

Because it has only one electron in its outer shell.

Most of the metal do not react with hydrogen because metals form compound by losing electrons and hydrogen also loses the electrons and forms compounds. So normally hydrogen atom does not accept electrons given by a metal atom to form a compound .
