Why hyoid bone unique is included in the skul?

The hyoid is connected to the skull only by tendons and ligaments. All the other bones of the human skeleton in the adult are connected to each other by bony interfaces. So it is considered the only bone in the human body that is not truly connected with the rest of the skeleton.
