why I is always written in capital letter.......in english

By the time Chaucer wrote The Canterbury tales in the late 1300s,I,the personal pronoun was slightly taller than its lower case equivalent. From that point on , it was typically capitalized.

By the way,is this question important, or it just came in your mind??
