There are many reasons which results to almost no settlement in Sahara Desert
Firstly, the temperature is very high in day time (sometimes 58 degree Celsius) and the night temperature is very low (nearly 4 degree Celsius)
Secondly, though cactus is found here commonly and date, palm, maize, millet etc. are grown near the oasis but the oasis water is not enough.
