Hydrolysis of both ethyl acetate andmethyl acetate is a pseudo first order reaction. In fact the hydrolysis of all the Easters is a pseudo first order reaction. This is because there are two reactants involved in the reaction i.e. ester molecules and water molecules but still the order of reaction is one.
