officialy they are dangerous as seen with Titanic it got an strike with an iceberg and submerged and also the more horrible thing is that they are not visible in the fog and mist and also their 90% part remains hidden inside water which makes it more dangerous.

the icebergs are frozen water I.e. huge block of ice.

as per we know icebergs are less denser than water due to which they float on water.

These icebergs form during extreme low temperature in polar region due to which the molecules of ice are extremely tight as a result ice is extremely hard.

Therefore,

icebergs floating in sea when strike to ship it is like to strike with hard rock due to which a huge ship also sinnk.
