Icebergs floats in sea with most of its volume below the surface of the water than above the surface of the water. When we look at the iceberg from above the surface of the water it appears to be a tiny piece of ice floating in water but in fact it's so huge underwater. When a ship hits the iceberg accidentally, it will start sinking. So,  icebergs floating in sea are dangerous for ships.

hope this was helpful :)
