Why in a circular wire the work done between two points on the circle a and b is zero?

Work Done by a body moving in a circular path is Zero . ( Provided it is a uniform circular motion).

This is so because, the Centripetal force on the body at any instant , is directed towards the centre of the circular path and the direction of displacement at that instant is along the tangent drawn to the circular path i.e. normal to the direction of force on the body.
