why in cells direction of current is negative to positive?

This happens to supply electrons in the circuit.

As the battery supplies electrons in the circuit.

But why?:

Electrons are the reason for potential difference

across the ends. They flood one end the other end ejects electron to maintain the number of electrons in the conductor.
