Why in cortical nephron peritubular capillaries are absents?

▪it's due to:-
The glomerulus of each superficial nephron is located in the outer region of the cortex.
Its loop of Henle is short, and its efferent arteriole branches into peritubular capillaries that surround the nephron segments of its own and adjacent nephrons.
The blood returns to the cortex in the ascending vasa recta.
