Why in indian judiciary the nip of the pen is broken after passing a death judgment??

i think this is done because the judge dont want to write with the same pen for any other victim. Because the pen had written someones death sentence

the judiciary wants that no other death sentence should be given by that pen that already has used to give a death sentence
