Hey friend, here is your answer..!!
a single sulphide carries a two negative charge and hence the two sulfides when bonded to a metal shows presence of - 2 into two charge that is equal to -4 charge in magnitude . also molybdenum is a d block element which can show variable valency upto 10 and hence it can easily form a bond with two sulfides and form molybdenum disulfide with A4 positive charge on molybdenum to neutralize the charge of disulphide and form a very stable compound.
