This problem is called cataract . In old age some changes take place in eye lens. Due to it or some other injuries it is caused.

It can also be caused because in old age eyelens become less flexible less transparent. sometimes protein became to deposit on the eyelens due to which it become foggy.

It can be cured by a simple eye surgery.
