Series connection and parallel connection itself defines why the voltage will be same for parallel and changing for series.
In series combination there is a voltage drop in each segment due to impedance..as the source of supply is connected to end of one element and the other to end of another element
At for parallel connection,the source is connected to the common node of all elements and thus equal potential difference is maintain across each element.
As the charge remain same in series combination,so the current also remains same.
Bt in parallel combination,the charge is distributed,so does the current
