Why in this we added the CSA of cone instead of subtracting because it is asked to find the total surface area of the remaining solid???? Plzz explain i am not able to understand it .

Hey mate!
when we hollow out the cylinder to get a cone, we obtain a shape of cone which also needs to be included in the total surface area

Whenever we are discussing area. We count what we are looking at. If you imagine the figure. It would be a cylinder and a cone which is visible to you. So we add the CSA of the cone.
