In Tibet, the river carries a small volume of water and less silt because it is a cold and dry area whereas in India it passes through a region of high rainfall. So, the river carries a high volume of water and silt.

The Brahmaputra in its Tibetan part has less slit, dispite a longer course bcoz in Tibet the river carries a smaller volume of water and less slit as it is cold and a dry area and the erosional capacity of the river is low.
