Hi there!!!!
____________________
There was no snowfall in winter because the temperature couldn't go below 0°C .The water becomes ice at 0°C so if temperature doesn't go below 0°C then there can't be any snowfall it would just rain.

Or Because

The water couldn't evaporate enough to make precipitation (snowfall) occur Because snowfall is just rainfall just the droplets are frozen

Or (ignore)

Winter was in northern hemisphere and you were in Australia??

There is no snowfall in winter bcs there is no moisture in air and snowfall is also like train just in frozen form so it also needs moisture.
As we know winter is a relatively dry season and moisture content in air is absolutely less that's why there is no snowfall.
