why independent india adopted mixed economy

During independence, there were two main superpowers, Capitalism and Communism but India did not know which economy would suit them the most.


Hence, they decided to get mixed economy, a non-aligned one with mpublic and private sectors.


In this economy, the freedom and respect is given to all, constantly reminding them what are its straight up consequences.
