It’s not the lack of desire to win back POK from Pakistan but the benefits and the aftermath of such action that stops India from taking that course of action.

There are only two ways that India could gain control over POK- either diplomatically or militarily. Winning back POK using mere diplomacy sounds just too wishful and seems far from reality. Pakistan is never gonna concede an inch of land to India without putting up a fight.
