Hello SakethGuru!!
WE all know that India, being a secular and diverse country, promotes all kinds of religions, beliefs, customs, traditions and languages too!!
India has a lot of languages ranging from Hindi to Bengali, Gujrati, Marathi, Telugu, Malyalam, English and so on....!!
That is why we are a unique country and our very differences are our strengths:THERE IS UNITY IN DIVERSITY, AND STRENGTH LIES IN UNITY!!
If India opted for a single language as the country's language( even though our national language is already hindi) you can pretty well imagine what would happen to people belonging to different regions of the country...
They would feel discriminated and left out...
People would be enraged and angry by the laws and would also protest since their basic freedom would then be violated..!
So the Government can't play with the sentiments of thousands of people and ban all languages only to keep a uniform language-system to be followed through the entire country..
Hope that clears your doubt friend? Please mark as brainliest if it helped you!!!

The main reason why India doesn’t have national language is, it doesn’t need one.
I mean, if given a choice between your right and left eye which one would you choose.
The same way it is difficult to choose a national language of India.
Every state would want its regional language to be made national language, then it leads to chaos.
Leave out states there are languages which are spoken only by people of some communities, then they would demand it to be made national language would you accept.
There are many difficulties and problems arising by declaring one language as national language. So it is better to leave the entire thing under status quo.
