Since in INDIA, the level of development in a country is directly proportionate to the way we choose to treat our children, elderly and the disabled.
As far as India is concerned, we might score very highly in terms of growth of physical infrastructure, but most of the public places are inaccessible to people with disabilities. As per the 2011 census, India has about 2.7 million people with disabilities, and only a handful of those enjoy education and/or employment. We are spending less than 4% of our GDP on important areas of education and health. Almost 12% of our children (between 5 and 15 years) are identified as child labour, and we have about 2.4 million people living with HIV/Aids.

Almost 25% of my fellow Indians are poor – in the same India where millions use smartphones. Within India, there are many different countries. One is high-flying and tech-savvy, [with people] driving flashy cars in and out of top-starred hotels and clubs. Another is white-collared middle class. And another is still struggling to survive. There is no doubt that in some areas we are a developed country and, as far as people with disability are concerned, we have created facilities and a support system. But in many areas we still have long way to go. Now I leave it to you to decide whether you perceive India as developing or not!.

::::;;How soon can India become a developed nation::::
Does this mean that India will become a developed country when it joins the august ranks of the top economies of the world, which at the current pace of developments is expected to happen by 2020, give or take a year? Unfortunately, the answer is in the negative. What makes a country truly eligible to be termed a developed nation is not an impressive economy alone. It covers a wide spectrum of human development indices in areas ranging from freedom from hunger, poverty and unemployment, social welfare, education, healthcare, gender equality, child mortality, freedom from religious oppression, etc. High forex reserves and business-friendly environment help but are not directly proportional to sound human development indices in crucial areas such as the ones mentioned above.

India is called as Developing country because the nation always concentrate on Industrial sector as than they are the most important element of
development. India can also be termed as Developing country as they tend to improve their Economy. No matters how many years does it take to develop, but the question is whether it shall become. Let us believe and work hard to make India, a developed country. It shall only become developed country when in the nation there is no corruption, poverty, harassment, violation of laws. The nation is still undermined by the people as a corrupted one, because of the way of democracy that we follow. We still only pinpoint the government and politicians for its underdevelopment. Not only they corrupt the nation even we people corrupt ourselves. We say politicians and government officials as money - minded, but what about us. Even we run behind money, just look after your life, we might come across various situations like sanctioning of land and other assets, getting licence for vehicles,we just spend our money and cheat government. No matter whether the government officials and politicians offer to corrupt but however we are equally responsible for the situation as we offer them money. We offer so as we cannot wait for long in the fast growing world. At most to make our work simpler and easier and quicker we offer money. The situation can be only changed when youths and students make them to participate in political activities. We youths should represent ourselves in elections and other activities. We should be corruption free as this helps to eradicate poverty.

Steps that needed to develop the nation are:-

1) Education should be same all over the country and should be governised.

2) Medical affairs shall not be privatised and always should make it under the control of government.

3) Participation of youth and students in political activities.

4) Should be unite at all circumstances and should openly protest against government when the laws are violated.

5) Making a corruption-free nation and making of strict and fair laws shall improve us.

Let us join hands to make Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam sir's dream true.
