Relationship of India is falling with its neighbour country because :-

1. Nepal - The pro Chinese government led by Oli has led people to believe that India is the reason that Nepal cannot expand its foreign policies and it always interferes in Nepal's internal issues for its own interests also the recent alleged blocked by Modi Government has compelled many Nepalis to believe that India isn't working in their favour .


2. Bangladesh - Conditions have actually improved under Sheikh Hasina's regime which is upto a great extent pro Indian . But getting near to the China has actually created fiction . Many radical Islamic groups had been long using Anti Indian Propaganda to increase Islamic extremists feelings among Bangladeshis also many people believed that the BSF's action at the border is questionable .


3. Sri Lanka - Again increase in the Chinese investment in Sri Lanka is one of the reason for the fiction among the two nations . Also involvement of RAW in the Sri Lankan civil war in past has led to anti Indian centiments in Sri Lanka . Actually relationship with Sri Lanka has recently been improved especially after the Chinese encroachment of Sri Lankan Ports . It was witnessable when India won the recent railway and housing construction deals in Sri Lanka against China .


4. Afghanistan - Actually the relationship with Afghanistan is the best among all its neighbours . Again Chinese influence has started to grow over there but Indian soft power continues to dominate .


5. Bhutan - The relationship as soured after the recent Doklam stand between Indian and Chinese armed forces as it puts contradiction over the security provided by India to Bhutan . Also people have started to question India's involvement in Bhutan's internal and external issues but still Bhutan remains a largely pro Indian nation .


6. Myanmar - India has never shared a great relationship with Myanmar over the past decades . The xenophobic attacks on Indians after second world war and later a military dictatorship continued to tarnish the relationship between two countries . The rise of local militant groups attacking on the Indian Border and illegal immigration by Rohingya Muslims have created some possible issues between the two nations .


7. Pakistan - This country needs no introduction as it has been the most notorious neighbour for India there are tons of disputes between the two nations and in past have already fought four wars between eachother . In recent years the construction of CPEC which goes through the controversial area of POK , Kedar Jadav issue and the release of Surgical strike footage has been the main reason to spark the tension between the two countries which were always toxic .


8. China - The Chinese support of Pakistan , construction of CPEC through POK , Chinese claim over many Indian territories , The Doklam stand , India's inclination towards Vietnam & Japan and China questioning India's development of " Agni 5 " and " Brahmos " missiles are some of the reason the two countries are in dispute . In past India gave asylum to the fallen Tibetan government and Dalai Lama after the Chinese acquisition of Tibet in 1958 and later Chinese claim over many Indian territories led to the Indo - China war of 1962 . However the relationship has seen some recent warming after creation BRICS and china Seeking support of India over US China trade war and and US China dispute over south China sea .


9. Maldives - The rise of pro Chinese government in Maldives was the reason for the souring relationship between the two countries . But after the recent elections it seems that the future of the relationship between two countries is bright .




The Rise of Nationalism in all these countries have given birth to the jingoism against India in these countries also the increase of Chinese investment and jealousy towards India's recent growth are the common reasons for failing in relationship with its neighbour countries .
