India is looked upon as a young country because it received freedom on 15th August 1947 and in a very short period has created a mark on the world map.

It is developing well in all the sectors, defense, industries, education, privatization, business.

All sectors have seen a recent boom, especially in the 21st century.

India is looked upon as a young nation because of its high percentage of young populace.

EXPLANATION:

The young age populace in India is much more than any other nations, and India is developing nation owing to that it is known as the youngest country. India has the highest numbers of youths globally; around 65 percent of its populace are less than 35 years.

By the year 2020, India will become the 'world’s youngest nation' with '65 percent' of its populace in the 'working age-group'. With Japan, China, and the West aging.

This "demographic potential" offers India and its developing economy an unparalleled edge which economists consider could add a significant two percent to the 'GDP growth rate'. Because of its youth population of 70 crores, India is called a young country.
