Answer:

Cloth left with Tina = 20m 5cm - 4m 50cm

= (19m + 1m + 5cm) - (4m + 50cm)

= (19m + 100cm + 5cm) - (4m + 50cm)

= 19m + 105cm - 4m - 50cm

= 15m + 55cm

= 15m 55cm

Answer:

Mix of cultures with cultural confusion and competition like North vs South, Tamil vs Kannada, Marathi vs Andhra, India vs North East and on and on.

Extreme poverty and exploitation- many are insensitive to this either because of over exposure or because of the doctrine of Karma (they deserve this poverty). These people are totally unprepared for the modern world, it’s freedoms and responsibilities.

Extreme Ignorance and superstitions - India is few of the remaining cultures where worship of sun, which is just a light bulb and caste inequalities of some serious degree exists.

Lack of freedom at the social level: Why are most of the Indian moves about getting married? The whole struggle to marry the one you love is there and brought out in movie after movie because of caste inequality. It is not just that the girl/boy is from a different caste, he/she is from a lower caste and marrying them is a dishonor. This leads into the honor killings to clear the shame of caste intermarriage. This caste intolerance even among educated Indians really ‘sucks’. Even though the constitution guarantees freedom of conscience, it is not yet accepted by caste Hindus.

Lack of facilities: In an English movies, you can see helicopter coming to pick up patients from an accident site. I, as a doctor have worked in emergency department and the value of life and the facilities for saving life are less. People have not demanded those facilities, life saving ones and many die because politicians use helicopters but patients in an emergency cannot avail it. Also the transportation facilities are pathetic and the services are poor. By now, it ought to have been complete, after so many years of independence. Why is this so? Heavy corruption and funds are lining the pockets of the politicians. Politicians are assumed to be corrupt and corrupt is normal and normal is not questioned. You just get along or try to line your pockets if opportunity arises.

Education: Even though India has a good IIT, IIM and AIIMS etc, in general the quality of education is so poor. The education system is broken. The teachers are not paid well and have to pressurize the students to join their private tuition. The privatization of medical education has opened up a Pandora's box with people with money just buying the medical seats like hot cakes. With fake entrance exams and a merit list cooked up according to the highest bidder, the NEET system which came into effect recently will hopefully fix this. I worked in a private medical college and had to leave because they were cooking up date to get medical council approval. Thank God, the medical council itself has been dismantled recently. The extent of corruption is so pervasive and extreme is it just unbelievable. People just give up on reforming the system because of the vested interests which can strike back. Anna University: Students jumped from 5 marks to 77 during re-evaluation process If it occurs in a premiere university in India, the situation is hopeless. This can be attributed to the culture of corruption which is accepted and upheld like other issues like caste based marriage and honor killings.
