Answer:

The problem with this platform is that it has 90% children and only 10% parents. As a result, the children point of view gets all the light. I agree with other answers. However, let me point out the parents point of view. Can I?

One:

Today's children dream to work for multinational companies. However, do you know what did most of our parents dream? Their only goal was survive, protect family, fill the stomach and secure future. It's because they were successful, we are able to have “NASA" dreams.

Two:

My parents saw a very hard time and suffered poverty, hunger, humiliation and a live full of uncertainties. So psychologically they tend to go towards a career that provides safety, security and stability.

Three:

My parents are the most caring people on earth for me. If am not able to convince my parents that I can write good stories for the movies, then how will I able to convince the producer who is going to put the money?

Four:

The resistance from the parents is in a way a test. Are you or your dream is able to overcome the resistance? If I give up without making proper attempts, who is at loss? I don't know what's wrong with kids these days.

They see a dream and the next moment they want everyone to support them, they want the money to flow in, they want the accessories, they want opportunities and pretty much everything.

Five:

Basically, they want all favourable conditions to achieve their dream and when they don't have the favourable conditions, they complain. Anyone out there, who is smart enough to create favourable conditions?

It's basically like this. You see a dream. You work so hard that your parents who resisted initially start to support. Then a few unknown people support you for your efforts and help to propagate. And when you are successful, entire world celebrates it.

Trust me, in most of the cases we can create favourable conditions. Am a failure (currently), you have every reason to discard the answer. The winners get the ears of society and the losers get the mouth. So I get to hear the bad mouths.

The kick of success is best when all the odds are against you. See this plant in the concrete, surviving against all the odds.
