Why indian society so confused between india and western culture?

May be due to the old ones who don't want our culture to fade..and the young ones who are increasingly attracted towards the western culture.. globalization led to introduction of western culture in our society. People started mixing western culture along with Indian culture.

t's because they have a wrong notion that western culture alone represents freedom and modernity. Western culture has nothing to do with either freedom or modernity. It is just the culture of another nation (US) or rather, a set of nations in the developed world (US, Canada, UK, other countries in Europe etc.). It is wrong to associate freedom and modernity with their culture alone
