Federal government is one where there is demarcation in responsibilities and powers of central and state governments. We have had this arrangement working well for more than 70 years.

This is because of the large land mass and massive population. Center cannot control or regulate everything. This the responsibilities work and powers have been devided.

But from time to time we have had tiffs between center and states. For example in the present times it's didi mamta and khejriwal who have time and again tried to oppose center for everything. The latest being on world yoga day where mamta thinks it's center trying to interfere in her domain. But the shocking part is when the world will be celebrating yoga day madam mamta wants west Bengal to abstain. What mentality.

But then these are part and parcel of our federal structure

Because-

(1)India's government is divided into two or more parts.

(2)All the tiers of government have their own powers.
