Yes exactly. This is a country with 1.2 billion pupils. So you are competating with enormous number of competetors, with different smartness, different intellegence. So you have to always give above your 100% to survive. Which definitely makes you smarter than you may be.
Competetive exams-
In top ten toughest competetive exams in the world, we have our four. 1)UPSE. 5)IIT-JEE. 6)CA. 10)GATE. So clearing these exams, you would get only and only super intellegent studants. Success rate of UPSE is something around 0.3%, and around only 10,000 got qualified for IIT out of 1300000 aspirants through IIT-JEE. Success rate of CA is also not that higher, and GATE too has around 10% of it. So what would you get after all this, a pure intelligence. What else??
Emotions- Yeah!!! You read it correctly. India is so emotional and they even posses this feeling strongly here. They just dont study for success, they study for their parents ambitions. Parental expectations play Vital role in their success. Which make them even more stronger and desire for their success becomes even more and more higher. They want nothing, but SUCCESS.
Way of learning-
We just dont learn or mug-up for higher grade, we explore for Satisfaction. Althogh, parents here rush after higher grades humbly ( This is a negative point, if a child faces depression due to that.
