Indicators are substances which gives a prominent sign to identify the presence of acids and alkali in the solution.

Salt is produced from the reaction of acids and bases.

So, salts are considered as neutral.

For this reason, Indicators are not affected by salt as salt is the product of acid and base which is neutral.
