Indo gangetic plains are very fertile and they have good resource for development and they also have rivers which are flowing all through out the year and the northern plains are fertile development of civilization is more in northern plains so Indo gangetic plains have high density of population

As the gangatic plans are fertile and good for crops that's why they are densly populated.
